This beautiful vintage Azilal rug was handmade in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. The bright colors and intricate designs make this the perfect statement piece for any room.
Azilal rugs are made by 4 different tribes in the Tadla-Azilal province in central Morocco. These people traditionally made these rugs to use as a warm blanket or cape during the cold desert nights. Similar to Beni Ourain rugs, Azilal rugs are on a motif of ivory or off-white - the natural color of sheep's wool - with geometric patterns, lines and designs in reds, indigos, yellows and greens. The asymmetry and abstract designs create unique pieces and are an expression of the artist who made the rug.
We try to portray the most accurate colors of our rugs, but depending on the device you are using, the colors may vary. We therefore cannot be responsible for variations in color between the actual product and your screen.
Note: This is a vintage item and there may be some wear and tear and overall inconsistencies. These inconsistencies only add to the beauty of the rug.
