Mud cloth and its trendy handprinted designs are the new "it" accessory in the design world. This large piece of hand made, hand printed material has endless possibilities to update your space with texture and pattern.
Originally from West Africa, bogolanfini or mud cloth, is a Malian textile crafted from strips of hand-spun cotton fabric. The cotton fabric gets its graphic pattern from being dyed with fermented mud by skilled artisans through an intricate and tedious process. The geometric shapes and crisp black and white patterns, which have traditionally been used to camouflage hunters in the wild, are now ideal for adorning your couch, bed, crib or favourite chair.
Note: This is handmade material and irregularities will exist, which we think only add to the charm of the material.
